A Swivel Collar nut has a flanged rim at the bottom of the nut which acts as a rotating washer this allows the nut to spread the load of the applied pressure across the work piece, excellent for an uneven contact surface.
The imperial version of the flange collar nut is available in BSW and UNC variants. The nut is manufactured from an high tensile steel with a chemically blacked finish.
