A Universal joint acts as a shaft power transfer coupling between two rotary elements and are generally used to transmit motion over non-linear applications such as drive shafts. Each steel joint consists of two yoke end fittings positioned at 90 degrees of each other with a connecting cross shaft allowing the transmission of rotary motion between two unaligned shafts

The WDS product range consists two designs, our standard single joint range is available from stock with the double jointed & telescopic designs available upon request

Plain Bearing U-Joints offer a max RPM of 1500 and Needle Roller Bearing a max RPM of 3000

Alternative names for Universal joints include: Hooke's joint or Hooke's coupling
